1. START! …. The most common problem of all by far is procrastination. The most common tip is creating a to-do list. There you have it - by doing your list, you've already made a start… 2. Next CREATE A SCHEDULE of how you're going to tackle your to-do list. This is a calming technique too, and it works. You've taken control! 3. GET ORGANISED. It's amazing how much time you can waste finding your way around a messy suitcase or backpack and an untidy desk. 4. BREAK YOUR WORK INTO DO-ABLE CHUNKS… and know where you need to start. And do a bit every day rather than trying to cram. Cramming is exhausting and doesn't work for many people. 5. DON'T MULTI-TASK. You've grown up multi-tasking….believe us when we say that managing your time so that you're able to focus on one thing is the way to go. 6. DO THE MOST IMPORTANT TASK FIRST. We're all brilliant at doing things we prefer doing and pushing those "frogs", the things we don't want to do, down the list. 7. FIND OUT WHEN YOUR PEAK IS. It makes sense to do no. 6 above when you're at your best. For you, that could be 6am or 6pm, everyone is different. 8. RATHER SLOWER AND CAREFUL… trying to work quickly often means errors or knowledge gaps that need time-wasting fixing up later. 9. KNOW WHEN YOU'RE WASTING TIME! You know the feeling … you look at the clock and 20 minutes has gone by… where, how?! Beware of Google when working….it has an amazing way of taking you away from what you should be doing to what you'd prefer to be doing! 10. SET YOURSELF A DEADLINE… then set it one day earlier. Give yourself off on the day you've saved…. Brilliant!
